Scenography for a children’s ballet. THE MAGIC BOOK OF PAULA
Paparajote was commissioned to perform the stage design and visual identity of a familiar Ballet called “The Magic Book of Paula” created by the company Danzarte 21, under the direction and choreography of Raquel López and Fuensanta Zomeño, together with the Symphony Orchestra Of the Region of Murcia directed by Virginia Martínez, within the cycle “Concerts in Family”.
The stage work focused on the recreation of the dream world of Paula’s room. The script combines tales, dance and music. Our collection of moons and clouds for children, fit perfectly with the contemporary concept we wanted to convey, and at the same time brought the dream and sweet touch. In particular, the Giant Cloud Pouf, as well as other pieces of the collection, such as the Luna XL.
The premiere together with the Symphony Orchestra was in the Victor Villegas Auditorium, with enormous success of affluence and critic, and later it was represented in several spaces of the Spanish geography, emphasizing the Theater Circo Murcia, with performances for school children coming from diverse schools.The profesional dancers, were from 5 to 22 years old. Accompanying the dancers, the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, will play live from the pit of the hall Narciso Yepes of the Auditorium Victor Villegas works of classical composers, such as Tchaikovsky, Delibes, Prokofiev and Mozart, among others. The narrator of the story will be the journalist Oché Cortes, in charge of putting the ‘voice on off’ in this show. The lighting design was done by Luisma Soriano.
